Treat Yourself.
The gift of yoga is accessible to all. It is a practice that not only helps you physically, but also mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. In a session with us you can except a heavy emphasis on breath, some physical movements that work well for your body, and an experience that places a lot of focus on self-compassion, gratitude, along with yogic philosophy. Through a consistent private yoga practice, you will begin to notice changes within your physical body and also your mind and heart. It is our mission to help you connect to yourself.
Upon your request we can draw from the following styles of yoga:
Vinyasa Flow: A more active style of yoga that involves linking your breath with your movement. This can be considered more of a work out but can still be beginner friendly. You might break a sweat! This style of yoga promotes a healthy mind-body connection, enhances mindfulness, and strengthens the physical body which helps with posture as well as flexibility.
Yin/Deep stretch: A slower paced style of yoga that is more meditative. You can expect to hold stretching postures for 2-5 minutes. This style of yoga increases flexibility and gets deep into the fascia and connective tissue of the physical body to promote recovery and healing. Along with physical benefits, you can also expect amazing mental benefits like stress relief, strengthening mindfulness and self awareness, as well as promoting emotional well being.
Restorative: This method of yoga provides complete and total relaxation. We will utilize yoga props to relax the physical body which in turn calms down the central nervous system. Allowing the body to rest in this state will create stillness in the mind and increase the body’s capacity to heal naturally. It can even boost the immune system.
Adaptive/Chair yoga: Working through an injury or physical ailment? This approach to yoga can be adapted for any level as we will specifically cater the class around your physical ailment. We will use approaches like doing yoga in a chair or working on very specific gentle stretches or techniques for your issue.
